About the manufacturer:
Tartare cheese is made in a factory located in the Dordogne region of southwestern France. The factory is owned by the international French corporation Savencia, formerly Bongrain. While producing cheeses and other dairy products, Savencia specializes in manufacturing cheeses made according to the traditions of their origins. Its products are distributed world-wide. The factory is rated No. 1 in Europe and No. 5 in the world in its category.
About the product:
Tartare is an airy white whipped cheese with a touch of garlic and herbs. Its high fat content brings out a unique texture of whipped cream during the whipping process. Tartare’s natural fresh taste combined with Savencia’s marketing savvy has made it the highest selling fresh cheese in France (24% of the market, according to Nielsen, 2014).
When served:
Tartare with garlic and herbs is excellent wherever it is used: in sandwiches and toasts, in quiches and pastries. Tartare is excellent for cooking. A spoon of Tartare on hors d’oeuvres will upgrade them by several levels.
