About the manufacturer:
The factory producing Boursin is located in the Normandie region. Francois Boursin established the dairy farm in 1957, in an area known for the highest quality of milk in all of Europe. The factory was purchased by the BEL Corporation, one of the largest cheese manufacturers in Europe, with production sites across the continent as well as in the US.
About the product:
Boursin is a fresh white whipped cheese. Its special flavor, especially the garlic and seasonings flavor which is the most famous of the brand, made it world renowned and has created a special term in the world of cheeses – Boursin Cheeses. There are many imitations, but it is hard to compete with the quality of milk and cream produced by cows in the Normandie region. The cheese comes in four flavors: garlic and seasonings, ground pepper, chives and shallot, and natural.
When served:
Boursin cheese can be an inseparable part of ingredients in the home kitchen. Apart from spreading on bread, sandwiches and toasts, it can be served as an appetizer with a seasoned tomato salad, on its own as a sauce for pasta, over fish or grilled vegetables (before or after grilling them,) and as a filling for quiches and pastries.
