About the product
Mayonnaise is an emulsion of oil and egg whites, with a drop of vinegar or lemon and a drop of mustard. There are dozens of brands of mayonnaise in the market, most using egg white substitutes, and the taste, accordingly, is not the taste of genuine mayonnaise.
Maille mayonnaise is made with fresh sterilized eggs and therefore has the taste of real eggs without the risk of infections that can come from using non-sterilized eggs.
When served
Maille mayonnaise will improve every meal. It will upgrade French fries or a burger to gourmet levels. A thin layer of Maille mayonnaise in a sandwich will make it a real delicacy.
About the manufacturer
Maille is one of the oldest food companies in French and in all of Europe. It was founded in 1747 by Claude Maille who specialized in making different types of vinegar and mustard. Maille is a brand identified with genuine Dijon mustard. Claude Maille invented this mustard, the company came up with the term ‘Dijon mustard’ and the rest is history. Today the company and the brand are owned by the Unilever Corporation, a group manufacturing dozens of products, from mustard and mayonnaise to various pickled vegetables.
