About the manufacturer:
Isigny sur Mer is a cooperative of milk-producing farmers located in the Normandie region in north-western France. The area is famous for the unique quality of the milk produced there. The cows graze in open fields. The grass they eat is rich in natural minerals, attributed to the soil and air that is infused with salt vapors blown in from the Atlantic Ocean.
About the product:
Isigny sure mer’s crème fraiche is fresh, authentic cream that comes from milk slowly fermenting for 18 hours. The cream is collected from the fresh milk until it reaches 40% fat and is then fermented more. This crème fraiche is among the few in France that received the PDO protected brand standard. This fact ensures that Isigny sur Mer’s crème fraiche is made according to stringent standards unique to the area where it is made.
When served:
It is recommended to enjoy the crème when it is fresh in countless dishes where it is used: in desserts, or a spoonful of crème fraiche in fruit salad, as an accompaniment to chocolate or orange cakes, over fresh strawberries and more. Regarding salty dishes – this cream will be excellent next to baked fish or grilled vegetables, or even just on a slice of bread with some sea salt on top.
