About the product
What is a galette? Is it a biscuit? A cookie? You won’t understand until you try…
Normandie butter + free range eggs + high quality flour + a sparkle of real sea salt = a cookie tasting like paradise – a galette. It is hard to explain the first bite: crispy, crunchy, with an aroma of butter, sweet but with a hint of saltiness, golden like it just came out of the oven. You really need to taste to see what it’s all about.
We import two types of galette: classic and caramel. All of the above is about the classic galette. When it comes to the caramel – there are no words!
When served
A morning cup of coffee or afternoon tea accompanied by a classic or caramel galette take these simple servings to places you have yet to experience, you simply must try.
About the manufacturer
The St. Michel Company was founded in the village of St. Michel in Normandie, France in 1919. The founding family still runs the company today. Loyal to its principle of using the best produce of this region, raw materials are the secret of St. Michel: Normandie butter, real free range eggs, high quality wheat. As in many cases in France, the story begins with a local baker who has baked a cookie of crisp dough and 100% butter. The product was hugely successful. Since then the bakery has developed into an international company loyal to the tradition of uncompromising quality.
