{"id":1189,"date":"2017-05-26T22:14:10","date_gmt":"2017-05-26T19:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/p22227-286-14891.s286.upress.link\/beef-fillet-in-chestnuts-and-red-wine\/"},"modified":"2017-05-26T22:14:10","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T19:14:10","slug":"beef-fillet-in-chestnuts-and-red-wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seyman.co.il\/en\/beef-fillet-in-chestnuts-and-red-wine\/","title":{"rendered":"Beef fillet in chestnuts and red wine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>Ingredients:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>1 kg. beef fillet<\/p>\n<p>2 spoons olive oil<\/p>\n<p>Coarse sea salt, crushed pepper<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons thyme<\/p>\n<p>3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup dry red wine<\/p>\n<p>For the chestnuts and oranges:<\/p>\n<p>2 apples, diced<\/p>\n<p>3 tablespoons olive oil<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup date honey (Silan)<\/p>\n<p>3 garlic cloves, roughly crushed<\/p>\n<p>Salt, pepper<\/p>\n<p>2 packages of vacuum-packed chestnuts<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup red wine<\/p>\n<p>St. Dalfour chestnut fruit spread<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Preparation:<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Preheat oven to 200 degrees C<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The fillet:<\/p>\n<p>Heat the olive oil in a wide, deep pan<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the salt, pepper and thyme on the meat.<\/p>\n<p>Sear the meat on all sides in the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Mix all the sauce ingredients and pour over the filet in the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Continue to sear the meat on a high flame.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to an oven-proof baking dish and put in the oven (200 degrees C).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apples and chestnuts in wine:<\/p>\n<p>Put the olive oil, apples, chestnuts, St. Dalfour, date honey and remaining sauce together \u2013 add the red wine and cook for ten minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Serving: Remove the fillet from the oven. Slice with a sharp knife and place on a serving plate. Sprinkle the chestnuts and apples around the meat.
